Indigenous Plants at Gawari Mada – 28 May 3 pm

One last session! Sunday 28 May @ 3 pm in the park.

Please join us for this amazing experience with Dreamtime Connections’ Aaron Chatfield on Country at Gawari Mada to learn about Indigenous plants in the Micro-Forest and Food Forest. Aaron will teach us about native plant use, traditional tools and Indigenous culture. You will also have a chance to try some bush tucker.

Aaron Chatfield is a Gamilaroi Man with deep connections to Ngunawal people and Country. He runs a Cultural Education Business called “Dreamtime Connections” which has been active in the ACT and surrounding community for the last 3 years helping schools and community groups connect to culture through Indigenous themed information workshops, creating bush tucker and cultural garden spaces in schools and running “on country” competency based programs for ACT youth.

What to bring

Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes for walking and bring water. This workshop will be outside. Dress for the conditions. Bring a fold out chair or picnic rug.

No need to book tickets for this session, just turn up.
