Gawari Mada

A heart felt thank you to everyone who attended our Ngunawal Culture Connection event to hear and learn from Ngunawal Elder Tyronne Bell from Thunderstone this afternoon. And grateful also for the messages from those who couldn’t attend but had wanted to be there.

We are excited to share with you our new Ngunawal Language park name: Gawari Mada (Gah-worry Mah-dah). Gawari is a Ngunawal word meaning bush, Mada is a Ngunawal word meaning land.

Thank you Tyronne for a very special afternoon. Dhjan Yimaba.
