Today’s photos show the progress being made in shaping the forest beds and in the creation of the subterranean water flow trenches which form the water harvesting design. These trenches have river sand and blue stone placed at the bottom before they are re-filled. This trench in the photo below leads up towards the position of the end of the dry creek bed (which will be on the surface), to capture any water that flows down the dry creek bed. The trench captures overflow water and distributes it underneath the forest.
